Form 6 Hobbies
There are a lot of different hobbies and people choose them
according to their character and interests. We can
divide all the hobbies into several groups. First of all, it is collecting things. Calm and serious people
prefer collecting pictures and books as it
needs a lot of
patience and time. Then, it is doing things. Active people are fond of different sports, dancing, travelling and gardening as they like being outdoors and
getting new experience. Finally, it is learning things. It is a hobby for imaginative, creative and
curious people because they learn more about other countries and famous people. So, they are usually fond of reading and know much about different writers and poets.
Mark Twain
I want to tell you about Mark Twain. He was a short story writer and the greatest American humorist. He lived in the state of Missouri on the banks of Mississippi. He wrote about Tom Sawyer. Mark Twain began to work at the age of 12. Then he was a sailor, but he became famous in 1865. Mark Twain had an unusual hobby. He was fond of collecting things which nobody had.
William Shakespeare
I want to tell you about William Shakespeare. He was a great English play writer and poet. He lived in Stratford-on-Avon. When he was a boy, he went to a grammar school. Then he worked as an actor and acted at the London theatre called “The Globe”. All in all, he wrote about 37 plays and many poems. We know him because he wrote in the golden age of English literature.
